Social Events 2026

The social events at Cowes Classics Regatta are an integral part of the event, much enjoyed by competitors, who are able to spend quality time in the company of like-minded sailors and classic boat enthusiasts.
The full social programme has yet to be fixed for 2026 so the following is indicative of what you can expect. We will contact everyone once the social programme has been firmed up and tickets become available online.
Tea & Cake
Competitors enjoy tea and delicious homemade cake after racing on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. These refreshments are served at the Royal London, when the bar is also open.
Free Prize Giving Receptions
Regatta entries include a number of tickets to daily receptions (competitors are issued with wrist bands which are effectively your entry ticket to these events). We are deeply indebted to our sponsors who make it possible for us to lay on these free receptions.
Suppers & Dinners
As usual we shall be arranging social events throughout the regatta at the Royal London Yacht Club, including suppers and drink receptions and of course the main regatta dinner.
Early booking discount, Refunds and Exchanges
When the social tickets go on sale during March 2026 you will be able to purchase online from this website at a discounted early booking price.
Shortly before the regatta, social ticket sales and enquiries will move offline from the website to the RLYC office. Please note that we shall not directly make refunds on social tickets purchased but no longer required, but will set up an exchange system for competitors during the regatta.
Dress Code
We always indicate the appropriate dress code for the various events listed below with the following interpretations;
- Reefer - Jacket and tie for gentlemen; appropriate formal wear for ladies.
- Smart casual - Tailored trousers and shirts (no shorts, jeans or T-shirts).
- Open - Courteous open choice which includes dry sailing rig (but no wet clothing please).
